I didn’t get to do an #InspirationMonth in March, like I’ve said before life’s been pretty busy, but I did one for this month and I get to share a few pics of my new room.
- Closet Organizer
So I actually have a proper closet organizer with drawers and shelves and everything I own basically fits in this closet right now, no extra book shelf or dresser. The minimalist in me is quite happy.

This week I wanted to talk about Music, because it means so much to many people and its helped me get through some tough times. Anytime I’m having a bad day I just flick on some music and immediately start to feel a little bit better.
But I also wanted to talk about the different genres I listen to, because I can listen to about anything at this point. I grew up listening to pop music, but when we’d visit family there was always Classic Rock playing, and then my dad got me into 90s rock and then my sister threw me into post- hardcore music. And when I write I like to listen to movie soundtracks, so there are no lyrics to distract me and it keeps me focused. That’s a lot of different music, thus I’m going to outline some favourite artists and then some favourite songs.
- Imagine Dragons
- Viva La Vida

Hello Readers! So last week I talked about anxiety and how I was dealing with it. But it got me thinking enough to try to do a little experiment. I called it the Feel-Good Experiment. It consists of a checklist that includes:
- Getting up at the same time every day
- Doing the High Power Pose (as mentioned in the previous post)
- Taking a selfie
- Listening to music, and
- Going for a walk.
I also tracked my technology use, and I’m kind of glad to say it averaged about 5 hours a day, and I honestly thought it was way more, especially considering most of what I do is now computer based (i.e. blogging, writing, researching, etc.)

Today, I thought I’d share some of the things that make me happy. I’m pretty sure everyone has seen these floating around the internet. I like them because they make you feel something, some of the descriptions really resonate with me and you know that taste, or that smell, or that feeling. So I thought I’d give it a try.
Music is amazing. Music is life changing. Music brings on so many different emotions and helps deal with so many different things, and in general it always makes you feel better. So today I wanted to talk about the music that I listen to.
- Sleeping with Sirens.
My sister introduced me to a lot of the bands I listen to now. And a lot of them fit under the genre of metal or punk rock. Sleeping with sirens is one of them, and I have yet to find a song I don’t like. And it’s because they are true to themselves, they write what they feel or about things that happen in their lives and I really like that. I like the meaning in their songs and they seem to be really connected to their fans.
- Fall Out Boy
A more recent obsession of mine. I like Fall Out Boy because they have a song kind of for anything that your feeling, and a lot of them are really up-beat and feel-good songs.
